Hoppe’s “How to Clean” Videos Give Firearms Maintenance Tips

Hmm… Hoppes is an old and respected name in gun cleaning/lube products and I have no issues with their stuff.
However:
I watched their video - and read the article - for the 1911 cleaning routine and was not impressed. My concerns revolve around verbiage used in the article that could be misleading and the simplistic approach of both the article and the vid. Two other points: if you’re experienced in 1911s, you’ll gain absolutely nothing from their ‘instructions’ (admittedly no big deal). But for a beginner, they leave out a lot. Gotta give the 1911 effort a thumbs down, myself.
