how do you interpret this

Well you can't just consider the state of gun friendliness in any given state. For example, Iowa v Missouri. Our gun laws are better and until very recently a lot better, yet Iowa ranks 11 and Missouri ranks 38. You have to consider population centers and who is in charge of those population centers. Outside of Des Moines, Iowa is a pretty red state. In Missouri we have St. Louis ( which dwarfs Des Moines), KC ( which dwarfs Des Moines) and Springfield ( which is pretty close to Des Moines). All of those cities are run by the left. And St. Louis has a Soros installed, anti cop prosecutor.

Even if you do surrender your weapons... you will still be rounded up.
Makes me think of a quote of Emiliano Zapata

According to the map CA is better than TX is in no way accurate! That depends on what the map depiction is? IL should on top with CA and NY, but I think this is by populus, not by actual crime stats involved shootings.
