How Effective Is 7.62x39?

It is a good round for what it was made to do. It's just plain fun to shoot. I have AK'S and SKS'S love to go out and just blast off some rounds. I have been shooting this round for over 20 years, back when I could get 1000 rounds for around $80. Every years I shoot 1000 to 2000 rounds in a weekend at fishing camp ( trout season ). Now I added 1000 rounds of AR ammo.
