How often do you change out carry guns

For the past year It seems that at the beginning of the month I change my carry gun. I switch between the Hellcat and a Glock 48. When fall comes around I will switch to a 40 Shield and carry it thru the colder months. Am I the only one that does this or do others do the same thing?

Although I’ve tried many times to change my EDC I keep going back to my XD Mod2 40 that I carry in a Galco.
I know when I find that perfect holster 😵‍💫 for my XDM Elite 10mm compact I’ll carry that more often.
On wildlife calls I carry my XDM 4.5in 45ACP in a SafariLand level 3 doesn’t conceal well at all but I don’t worry about that.

Sometimes it depends on what class I am teaching I will gun up specifically. Other times it might depends. How can I dress, where are we going, etc etc

I live in small town America on a country club sitting so if I am walking the dogs a J Frame in a pocket I’m probably over gunned. If I hit downtown Indianapolis not so much! So there is that for me in my work!

I train with and carry one. It has be` the same p220 SAO for several years. Prior to that it was a p220 da/sa fir several years. If I do change it will be after a course of practice. I carried a total of 14 different handguns, including off duty guns, over a 42 year career. Each change required a period of assimilation.I shoot others from time to time but “the one“ is my constant companion. If I get my 1911 grail gun I will shift to that one. I own many pistols but am simple minded so I stick with one to minimize my chances of becoming discombobulated under stress.

I alternate between a Hellcat, Glock 48 and my latest purchase a Smith CSX. Mostly depends on where I happen to be going during the day plus weather conditions which dictate how I will dress which also determines which weapon I carry. I train and shoot my off duty weapons almost as much as I train with my daily on duty carry weapon. Just my two cents on what I do.

I live in Florida and we have two seasons, hot and hotter than Hell. I'm also very hot natured ( when I retire I'm moving to a cooler climate. I know, the exact opposite of Florida ) I'm one of those guys that wear shorts even when it's snowing. I'm an OTR Trucker so yes I see plenty of snow. Most days I carry a 38spl snubby in my short's pocket. In the winter ( I mean those few days when the temp is below 70 ) I try to carry my Beretta PX4 Storm Compact in 40 S&W. I decided a few years ago to EDC only D/A -S/A pistols. No safety, just pull the trigger and go boom. The long D/A trigger pull is the safety.

I was very consistent with my EDC before the double-stack micro-9's hit the market over the past few years. I carried a 9mm Beretta PX4 Storm Compact when my kids were young because I wanted a weapon with an external safety. When my kids got old enough to learn to shoot, I switched between the Glock 26 and Glock 19 (based on wardrobe) for years.

Since the micro-9s hit the market, I have carried a Sig P365, a Glock 43, a Glock 48, and a Shield Plus. I've settled on Shield Plus (for now) because the wide, flat grip gives me the best purchase on the handgun and is easiest for me to conceal with my body type. The only thing that could get me to change now is if Springfield designs a stack-and-a-half XDS.

well for the first time for me, i will be switching out to my Ruger GP 100 2.5" revolver, as soon as my holster arrives.

i currently carry a Hellcat, and have been for the past year, when i got my ccw.

just to "mix it up" a bit for me, if for no other reason(s).
