Proud to be an American; Most courageous young soldiers anywhere, dedicated to their craft, highly trained by middle aged soldiers who learned the hard way, commanded by smart officers and Generals educated at the best War College and by experience, all equipped with the highest tech.
Now if we could just find a way for them not to be wasted as campaign fodder by slick, lying, power grabbing politicians who team with Wall Street in the revenues of war by throwing the best of the best into the meat grinder in conflicts never intended to be won but rather managed $ for the long haul. We (supposedly) have separation of Church & State and there should remain separation of Pentagon and Politics. Give the Military a mission with a clearly defined objective and timeline, then stay out of it and let the intelligent hard charging Generals do their job and complete it quickly. The "War Room/Situation Room" used to be in the Pentagon but a President usurped it to the WH basement and be damned if it didn't end up on CNN commanded by non other than Wolfy Blister!!
As a Nation, when you say something, mean it, and when you do something, do it all out to the end as rapidly as possible. Then other nations know when you say something you mean it, and the result, if we have to do something, is not going to be an option they want to risk.
Bring our Hero's back to cheers and a good life rather than a flag draped casket some Whimpy Politician uses as a photo op/news clip for his next campaign.
