How They Use Shotguns In Movies

A lot of things come to mind.

It was a CSI or one of those shows where they recovered a bullet out of a dead guy and the ballistics expert determined it was fired from a S&W .38 revolver.

Pretty much every modern action movie ( with the John Wick series being an exception) seems to have a lot of weapons that never need reloading.

Didn't see it myself, and it was TV rather than a movie, but I heard tell of a late night news report of a robbery where the bad guy supposedly used an "automatic revolver".

Funny example on how unrealistic movies are when it comes to shotguns.

What's the most unrealistic thing you seen in a movie when it comes to firearms.

I made the mistake of watching Arnold Schwarzenegger's Commando when it came on cable a few weeks ago. I absolutely loved that movie as a kid. Watching it now, I cannot believe that I was ever dumb enough to think any of the firearms handling in the movie was realistic. I never realized it before, but almost every long gun shot in the entire film is taken from the hip with deadly accuracy. After re-watching the film, I had the epiphany that Alyssa Milano has been involved in screwing up people's perceptions of firearms since 1985, but nobody realized it until recently.
