HOW TO PICK UP A DROPPED GUN
I learned in my teenage years not to try and catch dangerous items. I was playing with an old sickle like the soviet flag type doing some yard work when I dropped it and i tried to catch it only to have the tip of my thumb get almost cut completely off. Since then I've always let anything that can harm me hit the ground if it slips my hands.Excellent article. One of the nastiest GSW's I've ever seen was the result of a guy trying to catch a dropped .40 S&W pistol in mid-air. I don't blame the guy too much because it's very difficult to fight the natural instinct to catch anything we drop before it hits the ground.
