Not sure where to post this missive:

Hello from Houston
I’m here in a sea of blue as my heart pumps deeply red
I’m older and a bit wiser
I’m thankful for the blessings of Liberty and a measure of freedom
I’m looking up from whence cometh my help,,,,
I’ll be reading and garnering some useful intel
Best regards

Welcome to the forum T_Cactus!
Not sure where to post? You did and it's here? - Works and it's a good start! :)
Are lots of good members here, some are actually people, likely a few interplanetary aliens, chickens and a couple quackers and a few old goats for a good mix, but they're all good members. :) There's also lots of good info here too, browse away, explore and feel free to chat.

What? You don't like Quakers?

Welcome from St. Louis. I wish I had some catchy phrase that indicated my pride in St. Louis, but alas, St. Louis is a S***hole and I recommend avoiding it if possible.

I actually live about 40 miles south and it's nice down here, but if I said "Hello from Morse Mill", no one would know what the hell I was talking about.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I was born and raised not far from Geneseo, Illinois ( Kewanee ) living in various cities when I made the most positive move relocating to God’s Country aka Arizona for the majority of my adult life.
I’m now reside in the swamp they call Houston 🙃
I’ve been West and south east and I can say positively that America is a very special place!
Thank God I was providentially born here in the USA 🇺🇸
Thanks again for the welcome and we look forward to hearing what y’all are thinking,, about anything and everything.

I'm from the South end of Illinois. I try to stay away from the North end as much as possible .

I gotta be honest here. Even knowing that S. Illinois is not N. Illinois and it's inhabitants are basically Missourians forced to live across the river, I get uncomfortable being there. My wife took me to Kaskaskia for my birthday last weekend ( Very odd and interesting history and due to an 1881 flood the only town in Illinois that's west of the river). I had to keep telling myself that I had plausible deniability, being armed, since we were on the proper side of the river. Then after we toured the little township and looked at the bell we went across to Chester and had a nice lunch in a place overlooking the Mississippi called St. Niklaus Landmark. They have a brewery and besides great food they have an excellent selection of beer. I had a tall glass of the porter and it was fantastic.

Anyway, Illinois always makes me uncomfortable.

Well I think I’m right in there with your sentiments regarding Illinois.....
I left Illinois, and landed in Arizona, the polar opposite politically (1982) of my home state.
I have family still living there, but I was liberated a long time ago 😊
