HUGE data breach AGAIN

Professional
looks like around the 21st a place named of all things "national data" was breached
right now they are still not sure exactly how many peoples DOB, SSN, telephone, addresses, federal licenses numbers, passport numbers, copies of birth certs, social security info, etc have been let out

i got 12 hits on all the above this morning from OPM the office of personal management in the government because many of us former gov employees now have lifetime monitoring like life lock for free, because the gov has more leaks than a you know what.

anywho, this company is the one contracted to do background checks on just about anybody who hold a federal license of any kind, security clearances. so of course they have EVERYTHING anyone needs to make a NEW YOU

so if any of yall might be in this category...

if ONE DAY goes by without any sort of "data/security breach", i'd be so disappointed.

this is as common a thing now as any rocket launch.

tiring to hear, tired of the inept IT people that should know how to prevent this, and continue to stay vigilant.

firewalls my asss, security systems specialists my ass.

many must be DEI hires......

I'm no techie, but wouldn't it be prudent to isolate anything incoming to a separate area until it's been vetted/inspected before introducing to the bonanza where all desirable items are stored?
Wouldn't it be great if a return signal back to the originator of malware zapped their stuff up? Maybe a bomb to send a message.
