yesterday as i was getting my gun cleaning caddy, i hit my very, very old kitchen scale. it fell off the shelf, about 4 feet, to a wooden basement floor....but being "white metal", it broke.....
i think i saw a picture or two of someone here that has nearly the same scale?
so i took ours out of the spare room, and cleaned it up, and all i use it for, is my 8 # jugs of gunpowder, to give me an idea on what i have left.
well, thank god i was a former mechanic, and thank god, i am a nut for tools, that i buy, and use maybe once every 10 years...
so thankfully decades ago, i bought a Dremel, with some accessories.
so i ground the main shaft.....
fits just fine
and weighs up great...8# container
(i don't know the weight of the container with out powder, but on the scale, it shows at least 3/4's of a pound?, it is a heavy duty plastic jug). this is what i got when i first weighed the powder when i got it.
after this "repair", i weighed 2 things that were correctly weighed.
