i hate re-setting my watch

now that February is 1 day away from being gone, i gotta reset the date on my watch.

i gotta carefully pull out the do-ma-hickey button, and advance the date to either the 31st, tomorrow, or the first on friday.

if i pull that do-ma-hickey button too far, then the watch stops, then i gotta go online for the Windows clock, and dial in the correct time.

it would be so much more convenient if all months had 31 days......

then no more do-ma-hickey button to mess with

i took battery out and it sits in a jewelry box thing in my dresser, with a few knives, tie clips etc.

Same here. But i never wore one much anyway. Never liked wearing jewelry of any kind. Never even wore a wedding band. I seen a guy get his had hung up in a printing press with a ring on onetime. It wasnt pretty.

The only time I wear a watch is when I go out someplace, I wear a watch and a medical bracelet.

When I retired:
I even gave away my Alarm clock with stereo radio for a nice clock with big numbers and sets atomic time and date and with temperature.

I like watches and wear a Timex without a date feature. No need to mess with the dates. My phone and my computer tell me what the date is.

I used to know a guy that worked as a printer. He was missing part of his thumb. He said that was common for printers to be missing fingers.

I worked in a machine shop for several years and we were required not to wear any watches or rings. I generally used a pocket watch because of that.

When I became a security guard the official time was always either the time on the company phone or the time on my radio so I quit carrying a watch at work.

I got this as a retirement gift for myself and then I realized I never had any use for it. Sometimes I carry it just to be carrying it.
