There would be nothing peaceful about gun confiscation, I agree that some would just roll over and comply however the majority would fight and the first time someone is killed would end it. Whoever the president is he/she can not arbitrarily order the military to attack American citizens without both congress and senate approval which will never happen including the lawsuits that would be filed with the Supreme Court that would/could drag on for years in litigation. I understand and agree this is contentious for many including myself however the constitution is a bedrock of the law in the United States and no one person has the ability to arbitrarily dismiss it. We need to think back when there was a democratic in office for 8 years who consistently threatened to ban weapons which never happened, why? Because it couldn’t be done.
This current situation is a political ploy to play on the fears that have been brewing like morning coffee across America.
Vote, vote, vote is the way we make are voices heard.

True, but "they" would deploy their favorite "weapon", which would be to tax the living he!! out of ammo and related parts/accessories to make it unbearable for the avg wage-earner. I never, ever, underestimate the deviousness of the opposition when it comes to gun control.

Just keep in mind if the opposition gets control of the White House, the House of Reps, and the Senate (which is very possible) they will undoubtedly pack the courts, including increasing the number of SCOTUS justices, they'll add to the senate by giving statehood to DC and maybe some protectorates, and then run roughshod over everything and everybody who differs with the liberal view. Remember back when Prez Obama went so hard for Obamacare instead of a socialized medical system (gov run) for all and all the hard left complained he didn't go far enough? Well, if it comes to pass as I've suggested in my first line above, you can bet there will be no holds barred. They'll see their opportunity to gain total control of the gov't and ensure that control for years to come, especially with an ensured favorable SCOTUS ruling on anything coming before it. . To further that line of thought, just think about what the 'far left' is going to demand from ol' Joe for their support for him in the general election. And then once they can move Joe aside, it's "Katie bar the door" with Kamala Harris at the helm. She is noted as the very most liberal in the entire senate.
