S&W 686 SSR, .357 Magnum, you can shoot .38spl or full house .357mag.

Marlin 1884 lever action .357 Magnum. Also shoots .38 Special, Would work well for both small game, medium game and protection. Light, short, quick handling . Accurate out to 150 yards.

I don't own it right now, but if I had to get rid of everything else, I would trade it all in on a XD-M ELITE 4.5" TACTICAL OSP in 9MM with red dot. It has everything you need in a handgun, except concealability.

If we are still a civilized nation per say I would say a pistol. If I am in a situation like the movie I am legend, I'd pick an AR or AK.

I have to be able to carry it and conceal it so I has to be a pistol. Since I live in the South and it gets HOT here for a great part of the year, it needs to be smaller rather than larger. I normally carry a Sig Ultra Compact in 45ACP.

I would probably take a 9mm pistol like a Glock platform that can be converted into a PDW so I can have more versatility.

I would go more long gun. Living so close to a military establishment it could be so easy to come across 5.56. But then again it could be really easy to come across 9mm for a PCC.

I can't imagine having one firearm but for the sake of answering the question I suppose I would go with my Saint pistol chambered in 5.56.

This question gets posted on all gun forums. My standard answer is a Marlin 39a in 22lr. I've got plenty of ammo. Proper shot placement makes for a very effective weapon. But then, I will never have just one gun.
