I went Wild Pig hunting with this 9mm carbine and took along my XDM OSP 9MM Pistol in a shoulder holster as my backup. At 50 & 60 yards from the feeder & IR kill lights in total darkness 21 ' up a ladder stand, I was drilling Pigs in the head with 9mm headshots. Both handgun and rifle & suppressor 9mm ammo are compatible, only if Springfield Armory or Ruger came out with an adaptor to use XDM Magazines so as to make the XDM pistol and Ruger Carbine complement one another. I sure wish Springfield Armory would make an XDM Carbine Rifle in 9mm, .40 cal, 10mm, .45 ACP. Where all XDM Pistol Mags fit the carbine rifle. With a Sightmark Photon Night Vision scope and suppressor and subsonic 9mm loads this 9 mm pistol caliber Carbine is a deadly combination.
