Some good drills in the article. Thanks for posting.
I think the author is assuming he’s talking to experienced or at least somewhat experienced shooters, hence why he glossed over grip, stance, etc.
I have been doing timed drills, most while moving or while stationary shooting at moving targets this week. Nothing quite like a bunch of that shite to show you how regular target shooting is a completely different animal than “ Combat” shooting, for lack of a better term. I have been just killing the targets shooting stationary drawing from concealment. Or simply moving slowly. Add in a time aspect and moving quickly then shooting at 4” steel and you start to understand the difference between accuracy and combat accuracy. He’s got us doing this all at 3 and 4” steel and with painters tape over our sights. The idea is when we get around to silouhettes and realistic scenarios we will be capable of delivering multiple hits to upper center mass from various positions, distances and while moving at different speeds in different directions. And I’m going through stupid amounts of ammo. Lol
