Hellion spare parts...........

Namely the usual recoil spring, extractor assembly, extractor springs, possibly even an ejector assembly.

Springfield lists accessories, but no spare parts.

I get some kind of comfort out of having the essential spares, but it appears none are to be had at this point....

Guess I'm just venting......

A common comment/request elsewhere.

For something where spare parts aren't readily available, and because Springfield Armory (for the most part) is not the OEM, and only keeps spare parts on hand for warranty purposes, the Hellion really isn't a good long-term self-defense rifle IMO, compared to the AR.

SA should put together a spare parts kit for those parts that are considered consumables, as you listed. But perhaps they can't since they're are at the mercy of what HK Produkt, the OEM, can provide.

Until something like that happens your only option, for long-term needs, is to get two, if you have the coin, and use one for spares.

This is my biggest complaint ,especially with the polymer Croatian creations.
As opposed to Glock parts and mags are easily available and everywhere.

There's actually a much better aftermarket for the XD/XDm lines. There are several sources for the various springs, and FCG parts for upgrades.

I'm pretty comfortable regarding keeping mine operational over the long-term.
