Hello board I have an opportunity to buy an early very good condition Beretta model 84 (no letter suffix) in .380. The price and condition are good enough to grab my interest but I have no experience with them. Looking for any input positive or negative on them from current or prior owners. All reviews I have seen on them is positive on quality and function even if the round is considered a bit underpowered. Real world owners carry more weight with me than overpaid gun mag writers. This would serve as both a pop gun range toy and occasional carry piece. Thanks in advance, Bill

That is also a pre decocker model isn't it? I have read that these are safe to carry chambered and half cocked with the safety on similar to my HI Power is this correct?

I carry my BHP cocked and locked, but yes, you can carry the 84’s with the hammer down & safety on.
