Hello all, first time here. My name is Dale and I live in the Kansas City, MO area.

I own two Springfield Armory pistols, the Hellcat OSP and the XDME Compact 10mm, the Hellcat is my EDC most of the time, but I will carry the XDME in winter.👍 I run Federal HST in both when I carry them.

I am an avid hiker and waterfall chaser, in addition to being a self described range and gun nut. A day at the range is good for my blood pressure as well.😎

I also own firearms from Ruger, Marlin, Taurus, Walther, and an oddball FEG PA 63 in 9mm Makarov or 9X18 mm.

Thought I would join in the chat here on the forum since I have had a lot of good luck with online forums as a great source of information.👍

many of us have more than just S/A firearms as well.

holiday weekend, so maybe not too many here right now.

me, an old man, retired trucker/mechanic, started this sport/hobby in january of 2020, and progressed into obtaining a ccw, reloading, and going to try for NRA instructor.

sadly here, saying one is a "gun nut" , gets the stick eye, from all those dastardly anti 2A maroons.

Welcome to the forum from central Virginia. We don't refer to ourselves as "gun nuts". That has gotten to carry such a negative connotation; however, most of us here are seriously addicted to the idea of owning firearms. It fact for many of us here collecting is a passion.
 
Welcome! Bring your sense of humor and interest in firearms. Here you will encounter introverts, extroverts, subverts, converts, malaperts, crazy chickens, minions, dog lovers, and lately Neanderthals. (Note thay I did not mention perverts). And some pretty knowledgeable people.
 
welcome to the forum from nj. and yes, we are firearm enthusiasts. not gun nuts. we are nuts for a variety of other reasons and if you stick around you will see. you will also probably discover that you are nuts too.
i own SA's, S&W, Rugers, Winchesters, Magnum Research and a Lefever/Ithaca. So there is no discrimination here. Hahahaha.
there are a lot of smart people here and are chuck full of information. ask any and all questions (including those about soap). you will also find that threads will sometimes get derailed and devolve in a rabbit hole of chaos. but it is a fun ride.
