Is Hellcat RDP allowed in NY state

i bought the original hellcat, but im sad i see the new Hellcat RDP with all options I was dreaming about having on.
i placed the order for the Hex Wasp bt wondering now.
1- if i can buy the threaded barrel with a self-indexing compensator.
2- buy the improved Gen 2 Trigger.

so i make it RDP myself.
the question before anything else now if the compensator needs a threaded barrel means in NY is prohibited. I'm not sure.
can someone help me please.

Hi,
Sorry. Can understand.
Am not thinking anyone here can help you with your desire and thoughts. At least for now. Is my opinion only.

Two reasons from my understanding:

1st / If a particular item isn't allowed in a particular state and is considered illegal doing so from another state is as well unless some sort of variance is allowed. None known unless belonging to an organization that allows restricted item such as police or military.

2nd/ Parts and whole items of that nature are not sold directly to average person by Springfield Armory at this time.

It looks like technically a threaded barrel on a handgun isn't illegal providing the firearm meets certain criteria, such as the weapon not exceeding 50 oz, does not have a barrel shroud, and the mag well does not sit in front of the grip.

What a weird set of rules.

Not so weird. They’re trying to ban AR style rifles/pistols. Instead of saying that specifically, they’re defining it by features of the AR platform.

Good point actually. I never looked at the criteria from a handguns perspective before, being that I grew up and lived in NYC my entire life and owning a handgun there is essentially not going to happen unless you are Law Enforcement so I always paid more attention to the Long Gun perspective. (NYC has different rules vs. the rest of the state.)

Either way i'm glad I now live in Texas for this reason and so many more.
Appreciate the perspective.
