Is it time to upgrade?

One reason missing in this is when a manufacturer goes cheap on the furniture.

A wise man once said, "A gun is never really yours until you have voided the warranty." The first thing I do after a thorough function check (after recovering financially from the initial purchase) is to look around for goodies to make it unique, different, better, MINE.
My brand new Hellcat RDP has an Apex trigger and a Hogue grip sleeve. I have been looking at green lasers but the only one small enough to suit me is made of polymer clamped in place by two little screws. I'll go with the red dot for a while.

The one in the bottom is too many different colors. Although I do prefer black.

Thanks Talyn. Good practical and sensible article and info.
- In some ways not much fun in just swapping parts around though? :)
But, if parts removed or replaced are in good condition, can put original serviceable parts back in place too.
When they aren't, like article states, is a darned good time to upgrade those parts to better or more desirable quality.
