Is Your State Among the Top-5 Gun Buyers In 2020?

Yikes, with the amount of guns I've bought alone since January 2020 in Pennsylvania, I thought I had done enough to get us in the top 5 . (and that doesn't even include the number of guns @adam sr and the rest of my fellow Pa. residence on here have bought). I guess I'm going to have to kick it up a notch for the rest of the year. :devilish:🤣🤣

WE'RE #2, WE'RE #2 👍 That said, it's not safe to walk the streets of Louisville anymore. Another big number is the amount of women buying guns, that's because their boyfriends have felonies and can't buy their own. Made this a constitutional carry state and the cops don't bother to even check anymore!

"...Kentuckians bought the second most guns in the nation so far in 2020, which might come as a surprise to many readers. The state saw nearly 2.3 million guns sold..."

Glad to have been part of that effort. :)

As long as our current governor is in office, I wouldn't get too comfortable. Once this pandemic/lockdown fiasco calms down/ends, he'll probably be full-speed-ahead working on repealing constitutional carry, which he stated was one of his goals, even before he was sworn-in. Just my two cents worth. ;)

If the governor works/succeeds to repeal constitutional carry Kentucky residents have only themselves to blame for voting him into office. That being said I think he is doing an outstanding job with the pandemic, very level headed.
Everyone that is legally able “no felonies” to purchase a gun should be able to do so however allowing concealed/open carry without mandating any training whatsoever is a bad idea and as @papadan mentioned let’s hope the guns women are buying are for them and NOT their boyfriends who can’t buy one.

I don't trust him, and figure he's keeping a low profile so as not to be lumped-in with the pi$$-poor job some other governors from his side of the aisle are doing in their perspective states. If the November elections take a turn for the worse, he'll show his true colors....imo. I've pretty much quit watching the "news". Has he spoken up or denounced the bs going on over the past few weeks/months in Louisville?

Yes he has denounced what is going on, he also chooses his words carefully which I wish our current commander and chief would do. Yes he is a politician but I see a “difference” am I concerned? Absolutely but more so about what’s going to happen in November.

I know our Governor has his party and will someday get past this pandemic, but for now he is better than the other choice we had. I am pro 2 A all the way and for Trump to continue, but I really would not mind them repealing the constitutional carry. It is creating way too many problems with too many idiots carrying guns that shouldn't be. I believe in the taking class and earning a permit. Reminds me I have to renew mine this fall.

I'm trying just can't find what I want. Not a lot out there. Had my brother buy 3 in the last 2 weeks and a friend bought one. Going out again tomorrow and look around for one. Most of the gun out there are 9mm.

Excellent Adam, we're making progress. We'll get that #1 title soon enough 🔫 🥇🏆 😂😂

I figured that most of the people in Texas who wanted a gun already owned several. I would've thought that our numbers would be consistent with last year due to the normal avid shooters adding the same amount of guns to their collection that they do every year. Maybe all of the California and New York folks who have fled here in the past couple of years just now figured out that we will allow you to buy guns without all of the unnecessary steps that they spent years voting for in their previous state.
