I've got an itch for a 6.5 creedmoor.

The new Ruger American gen 2 predator rifles look very nice and feel much better than the first generation. I went and handled one in .243 today. If they had a 6.5CM I would have had a hard time walking away.
The 6.5 Ruger American gen 2 must be smoking HOT as two different shops said they can get any caliber except the 6.5CM. I thought maybe the 6.5CM might not be out yet. I called Ruger they assured me they are indeed out but they are selling like hotcakes. Both of these shops use different distributors and both of their distributors were out so I put my name on a list for both shops to give me a call when they get one in.

Being a 26cal fan and having 5 different cartridges (6.5gren, 6.5creed, 260rem, 6.5prc, 264wm) in that caliber you can't go wrong with it, but if I had a 260rem before the 6.5creed, I wouldn't have the 6.5creed. Same thing with the 6.5prc............wouldn't have it if being able to find brass in 6.5rm or 6.5saum. My 1st in that chamber was in an AR from aero precision............great barrel when using hornady 123a-max and sst's for factory ammo. The 260rem favors hornady 130edl-m's (factory ammo). Shortest barrel I have in 6.5creed is 18" (aero) and it's plenty of length for that cartridge. I'm sure it'll be a good firearm! Best of luck!

Can’t go wrong with the 6.5 creedmore. It is incredibly accurate and puts deer down with authority. You can also find ammo anywhere.
I’ve got a Sako 6.5 and it is the most accurate rifle I’ve ever shot.

The 6.5CM is a very nice cartridge, and probably the most inherently accurate one I have in my 6.5mm herd. I use it for hunting & LR shooting.

For the former its 300 yd. gun energy wise, and a lot longer if you're just punching paper.

It's more advanced cartridge design than the older 6.5s with similar performance.

Plenty of factory loads out there, and it's well supported in the loading data and component areas.

I have a Grendel, and four 6.5 Swedes.

But recently I've been giving the 6.5 CM a serious look. Mostly because of ammo availability, but also because there are quite a few good looking rifles chambered in it. My favorite being the Ruger M77 Hawkeye LR, takes AICS pattern magazines, but like other Rugers chambered in it, it too is made of unobtainium right now.

Love my predator but the gen2 is better. I enjoy the 6.5, it’s really nice to just grab something to practice with that doesn’t have any recoil. It’s a fun round. Granted there are some cheaper rounds out there
