I've been debating on lpvo's on which style of reticle, knobs and magnification range for an AR10. Athlon, Sig, Burris and a few others have caught my attention. Some have 1/4 clicks and some have 1/2 which isn't that concerning of a difference on values. There are several styles of reticles that I like and this scope is 1 of them. The bottom portion has a ranging scale for out to 700 yards based upon a 36" tall target. I'm passed getting plex reticles as I've used many in the past and still have some on a few older rifles. The BDR is calculated on 68 and 69gr nato rounds (I'll find out more on drop per 100 yards later) and do some refiguring for other cartridges for testing. 1/2 click values with capped knobs, illuminated reticle, 1-10 magnification, 34mm tube and a 28mm objective. Mounted it inside a Burris quick detach cantilever. Mount is fairly light and the mount has a strong hold. This is for the 6.5prc build, but will do some testing on various builds with various cartridges. The optic is compact and light weight for its size which is another on the + side on making the decision to buy. Steiner was close, but lacked the elevation range (30moa which would be plenty for a "0" cant at 800 yards with the 6.5prc). Other options were a couple of 2-12 magnifications that were also compact in length and didn't weigh much more than the Athlon.
