Justified: City Primeval

As I said in the TWD Dead City thread (which slipped off the front page too quickly):

And then I watched the first two episodes of the new Justified. This is a GREAT show--Raylan's back and at least as good as he ever was. Again, I was afraid they were gonna dumb this down and stupid it up, and was pleasantly surprised that they didn't. I rate it Very Most Way Hella Snakeworthy--my highest rating! ;)

Some cool old cars in the episode--a '69 Chevelle SS396, a hot-rodded first-gen Monte Carlo, and a '66 Pontiac Tempest caught my eye. Cool to see Willa pick up a Pontiac "arrowhead" emblem off the floor of the abandoned factory--I wonder if we'll see her use that as a weapon sooner or later? Wouldn't surprise me at all....

Also cool to see a Walther P.38 get some TV love, after way too many years....;)

Hulu. No commercials.
You must be paying for a higher level of service than I am. My Hulu has commercials. Fortunately, their breaks are only 90 seconds long or shorter. I watched the new Justified on FX Now and their commercial breaks were mostly 3 full minutes--although I have to admit that several of them were pretty entertaining.

I watched TWD Dead City on AMC streaming (free) and it had NO commercials, but these were all "old" episodes. I think the sixth and final episode is next week.

Just finished watching Ep 4. OMG I don't think I've ever seen a more brilliant, ingenious plot with more cleverly moving pieces.

Boyd Crowder as a villain has big shoes to fill, but this new guy is doing a hella job.

And I loved the brief homage to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest near the beginning of this episode. Did you catch it? I LOVE stuff like that. ;)
