KCI KX 50 AR rotary mag

Thinking of trying this model. I usually use the Magpul 60 rd but right now gunmagwarehouse has a real sale on. 65$ per unit.

anyone have experience with these?

The 100rounder worked great, but the 50 wouldn't even load one round. the lip appears to be too high. the bullet tip don't clear it. i bought two of them and the 100 round a while back. just now trying them out. think i can file the lip down a bit and make it work.

Those type of mags have been troublesome for a long while. I had a Beta C-mag that I could never trust my life with.

I have only 1 beta-c mag and no problem in the last 10 years. Time is probably running out tho?

I have a few kci 9mm mags (50 rounders) that feed fine in the glock and kv. That being said i have a few stick mags from them that are not so good. Worst mags I ever bought were pro-mags in standard and hi-cap for pistols.

60 round ATI Schmeisser block mags work excellent. Have 5 of them.
Has not jammed on any 5.56 I own .
I moved away from the drums

Drums are a novelty. Practice mag changes and use standard 30 round mags, they are much easier to load, more reliable, and much more compact.
