A reliable 1911 in .45 acp will always be a decent defensive weapon. The type 1 Mk type 0 **** sapiens hasn’t changed significantly in the last 120 years. A solid hit from a .45 will stop a fight just like it did back then.

I have a Pro Carry II and I love to shoot it. I don't carry that one though, as it is a little big for me. I could probably pull it off in the winter up here. It's one I take up north to go through the bush with.

Back on thread. I have a .45 Pro Carry Ii and it’s a good shooter, very accurate. However, it has the Swartz safety and the trigger will occasionally hang up if my grip is not just right, so it sits in the safe most of the time.
