King of the Lever-Action Rifles: The Winchester 1895

The Winchester 1895 is an interesting piece of history. Like many older rifles that have been properly cared for, the 1895 is still viable for everyday use. That is, if you obtain an original. There are modern versions as well. The Winchester 1895 is a great hunting rifle for moderate range. It isn’t a rifle that may be fitted with an optical sight, so iron sights are the rule.

I gotta tell ya, I've never really liked the look of the Winchester 1895. Just not aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Now, the Marlin 1895, that's another story. Love that gun. The Winchester 1895 gives me a sensation similar to the one when I look at a Wildey pistol. Just ugly as sin.

Savage 99 in 300 Savage or. 308 for me please.

And about 2 or 3 or 4 more shotguns. The shotgun thing is a never ending thing. Like a Mobius strip.

It all starts with one FAL, then another, next thing you know I'm trading all my guitars for an old broke down Brinks truck which me and my guns can live in because my wife threw me out on my ass. :cautious:
Yeah, I follow you .
This has been my bible
