Cloudy Sun morning here, and I’ve got a slight cold, so i just finished cleaning & lubing one of my latest* buys.
Sorry about the bad pics. One is with a lamp and one window only. It needs its final wipedown, too..
I believe this is one of the classiest (in a gun sense of the word) pistols out there. Clean lines and oozing quality- a shame it’s not offered in .45; if it was it’d be my bedside unit. It may still become that, given the fabulous tritium HD orange front sight 🤔.

Other recent pickup? S&W SD9 VE in stainless (slide). Both of these, miles apart on the scale, are serious shooters with serious strengths. I’ve fallen in love with how easy stainless is to clean up and how it looks in the right light…
As Basscliff would say, Thank you for your indulgence! Just sumthin’ to do on a messy weekend morning 😉

** I’m not rich, and the two mentioned will likely be it until at least mid-spring. Champagne taste, beer billfold. I need to get some other no-longer-wanted stuff to the LGS and cash out…

I like the grips!
Those are called Cortana pattern, i think… the black G4 pistol model (the Evo) has the same pattern but in a reddish-black color.
Similar to tires on cars, I think EB gets their grips from VZ. I got some G10’s for my EB .45 from VZ in slim and they were the exact same pattern, color and look as what EB had on there (ie, their stock ones).
Sadly, the Cortana’s do not seem to be offered in slim from either EB or VZ.

By the way, here is the SD9….
The parts on the left are ClipDraw; just arrived a couple hours ago via Amazon. Remove the stock backplate and install theirs, then screw on the clip.
It may be impractical but it’s inexpensive so I thought I’d see if it’s worth anything…
Notice they gave me 4 screws and five washers - ??? - I gotta watch and see if firing loosens anything up.

Note also the Apex trigger i put in a couple weeks ago. Turned out EXCELLENT, better than the last Glock i fired ! (I no longer own any Glocks).
Also installed a steel guiderod/spring assembly from NDZ and an extended takedown lever. Not counting the ClipDraw , the extras were no more that $90 total (with black Fri season discounts etc) - point is, the whole shebang was less than a Glock and now has a BETTER trigger experience.
