Nice read on the Ruger LCP II in .22lr

Paul Harrell just did a video on this gun yesterday.

I picked one up a couple months ago because I love my LCP II and .22 lr ammo was plentiful at the time. It definitely works as a practice pistol to get used to the sights on the LCP II, but I wouldn't immediately discount it as a self-defense option for certain shooters. My parents are rapidly approaching 80, and my father has lost some hand strength due to health issues in recent years. This wouldn't be my first choice for self-defense, but an easy-to-rack pocket pistol that holds 10+1 rounds of CCI hollowpoints is a valid option for elderly shooters. I going to try and get my father to shoot it soon, and plan to leave it with him if he in any way likes it. He still swears by his 1911, "like he carried in Vietnam", but I'm not sure he can handle the recoil like he used to.
