I mentioned this once before but about 6 months into having started shooting i noticed a changed in the way i react to stuff that would have otherwise caused me to flip out. I was more calm and walked away from stupid stuff that would have set me off. Many on this forum said they experience the same/similar feeling. I likened it to now having to live to a higher standard now that i was a gun owner. And that’s without even carrying concealed.

Life is so much better when you're just not worried about what the other guy thinks about you. You don't need to have the last word, don't have to win an argument, and don't have to beat the other guy to the red light. Happy, happy, joy, joy! Warm puppies and sparkley unicorns!

I'll try to get it back on track. Yes range time can calm me down. My deceased wife was the same way. After a tough work week she'd say we need to go throw some lead lol.

I love being able to hit the range in the middle of the day and give myself a brain break. I used to do it a lot.
