Let me know: Ronin Range Officer 5" 9mm

Hello my friends,

As you know, I'm a "one of each" kind of guy. I'm also a "bang for your buck" kind of guy. In addition to that, I'm a Springfield fanboi. That being said, I've been wanting to add a 1911 in 9mm to my collection, a little brother to my Garrison. I've read some stuff on, for example, the 1911forum.com, and saw everything from "it runs great" to "the trigger sucks" to "I did this and that to it and now it's fine".

I trust you guys.

GAG has a good price for the full size Ronin. I really want to order it while it's on "clearance". It's there a better 9mm 1911 for $600? Did somebody say "Tisas Raider"? ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

To be honest, I love my Mil Spec Springfield, mine is the Defend your Legacy version, same as the regular Mil Spec, just different grips and one mag

What is a Ronin Range Officer? I have a 5" Ronin 9mm; mine is a very early one marked Ronin Operator. I have no complaints at all other than I think SA puts too low a poundage recoil spring for my tastes. They build it with a 9 lb spring in the 9mm's, I am using ban 11 lb spring and like it. The only other thing I "had" to do was add standard thickness grips but that's because I prefer them over the thin ones.

I apologize. PSA has the current "clearance" price. Here: https://palmettostatearmory.com/spr...er-9mm-5-9rd-pistol-black-ss-px9119l-adj.html

I usually like larger grips too. My guess is that this Range Officer model has a different sight setup, perhaps other minor differences from the Operator. I've read several owners have replaced springs to make it run "smoother".

If you like yours, I'm sure I'll like this one. ;)
