In this thread we want to honor all of our Current military personnel, Veterans, First responders and those that are there to help your communities. So let's pay homage to R. Lee Ermy's famous words and post a picture doing what you do. Post a pic of you in your uniform, or at a community service event. Show us and tell us what you are proud of.

I will start, with what I am proud of: I am a proud Shriner who like to have fun while help children. I am a member of my Shrine Centers Roadrunners unit. Shriners run 22 Shrine hospitals throughout the country. But I live in Alabama, our nearest Shrine hospital is Greenville NC. That does not mean our children miss out of quality healthcare. Roadrunners are volunteers that drive children to the different hospitals to make sure the get the best healthcare in the country. I have had the great opportunity to visit over a dozen hospitals and have witnessed amazing things. I have seen children take their first steps on their own, when other hospitals said it would never happen. If that does not bring tears to your eyes, I don't know what will. I am also a member of the Order of the Mystic Nobles of the Zamora Shrine (Points if you know where we adapted our name from). We park cars downtown Birmingham across from our main cicic center. Rain, Sleet, Snow, Hot you name it we park events. Last year my little unit was able to donate over 16 thousand dollars to different aspects of the Shrine Organization. Plus we were able to fully wrap another two transport vans, with no cost to our Shrine Center. No way I would ever be able to donate that much out of pocket.

I’m an EMS-B, formerly with the local First Responders, but now just attached to my workplace (large industrial facility, standing EMR team of about 40 employees which I help oversee).

No ”action” pics, but...and no disrespect meant by this, to anyone...

But this is what we look like when we’re not busy.
