Some common-sense upgrades for Marlin lever-actions, and perhaps for some other brands of them.

I've still got the Winchester mod 94 in 30/30 my new (at the time) bride bought for me on our 1st anniversary in June 1970. I know, I know, it was 6 years after the last of the 'good' ones, but it's pretty special to me. (y)(y)(y)

Yeah, yeah. I have a 1976 NRA Centennial model 94 in 30-30 that I've had since I was 11 years old. I've killed so many deer with that rifle it isn't funny.

Although I've killed many, many deer with several different rifles, from that little mod94 to my favorite Rem 700 in .270Win, I'd say those I took with that little #94 were the most special to me.

Now that I realize how long it's been since she bought that 1st one for me, maybe about time for another one ..............
whaday'all think? I'll pass on the results to her. After all Christmas is fast approaching.

I think everyone should have at least one lever action in their collection
Yup ! One in every caliber. I love the movie Winchester 73. When I was a kid the part where Jimmy Stewart is cleaning his rifle and then loading it made a big impression on me. I hunt with a Marlin in 44mag with a 55 round bandolero under my jacket . I kid about it being in case I run into those attack deer but its really for if I see any hogs.

Suggested Marlin upgrades: one piece firing pin, one piece ejector, stainless magazine spring, and stainless follower.
