I do carry these on almost all my pistols (SIG M18, SIG 226 and M&P 2.0) and have trained with that and have never had any issue (besides one RDS set of screws shearing off, but that's another topic ). These weight practically nothing, which is great for carrying multiple 20 round mags without having to pull up your pants every 5 steps... I am aware the Civil Defense rounds punch holes through IIIA armor, so not necessarily the best all-around defense, but with proper shot placement, this can't be that bad as a standard defense round...
Now, I just got a Prodigy 4.25" and it's already my favorite for EDC, but I'm unclear if it is a good idea to use +P in such a fine-tuned piece of equipment. My guess is if the M&P, although a nice one (Precision Center Ported Barrel) is OK with it per Smith & Wesson, then it should be fine...
What's everyone carrying in their fine Prodigy? I've got norma JPH, NXD and MHP (big fan of norma's), SIG M17 +P and SIG JHP to choose from apart from the Liberty ones...
