I had two spinal cord stimulator trials at Cleveland Clinic in the late nineties. I truly hope you fare better than I.
did the trial stage go good and the implant have bad results? also, where was the implant area at? the 3 people i've talked with that had bad results on the implants were due to only 1 wire was put in instead of the required 2 leads. i still haven't found out why only 1 was implanted? there was another member on here from co (haven't posted in years) that (at the time) had his for 10 years iirc with good results in the cervical area. most with the lumbar area has had better percentage of good results. very sorry that you didn't get good results for your pain block :(

Hope you find comfort, was in that place of 24/7 pain for a decade and honestly there is nothing like it. Waking up in pain and laying in bed planning your day around the best way to minimize it. And finding comfort is amazing , nothing in life, nothing feels that good.

I pray for your conmmfort.

I, as Winston Churchill proclaimed, chose my parents wisely. Old man turned 85 last year, still hits the gym three days a week. Here he is on his 85th birthday; we went fishing together. My Long Suffering Mother as she as known by my friends is still in good shape too...good enough I am afraid to mention her age lest she break out the Hot Wheels Track and chase me around the neighborhood. Grandfathers on both sides went way into their 90's, more impressive in the 1980's than now. I fully expect to pull the ton...stopping drinking a few years ago will be the key I believe

Thank you. My duel leads were implanted lower-mid thoracic, I don't recall exactly. Number one failed due to faulty leads. With number two, it was determined I wasn't achieving enough pain control, and it was removed. Next was an intrathecal pump, which lasted seven plus years (pump's life span), and I chose not to continue that therapy. So, after nearly four years and a countless array of different procedures in "pain management" I struggle on with what I'm told is a remarkably low dosage of oral opiate. I don't like it, but my dues are paid. . .
