Little project

Still laid up with sciatica nerve but getting better. But the boredom is killing me just sitting around. Still have a mess of stuff to fo before winter, oh well guess it will get done.

So in the meantime starting a small project. Made this knife a couple years ago and never been 100 percent happy with the handle. Too thick and blocky to use as a chopper comfortably. Soooo time to get out the files.

Yeah it's a pretty piece of burl wood.

Couldn’t see the blade, but judging by the thickness of the tang one could probably use that knife to pry boulders out of the ground! Great work!

It has a distal taper both ways so it's a bit deceptive. It is great at what it designed it for. I wanted a medium length camp knife. I did not want a 10 inch Bowie but something more of a belt knife length but would chop anything I needed done and with a skinner curve that works well as a kitchen knife. I think I have another Pic of it. 4th down.

A millimeter or two later it's feeling much better already, it feels more agile and lively in the hand. It will make all the difference.

Feels much more agile in the hand, this is my favorite larger blade.never tried a1 inch but I know it will cut a 3/4 inch free hanging hemp rope with one cut.
