Long Range Shooting.....Where go Start...

I used to be a member of a 1000yd range, even helped at a Palma Match...

That was nuts. 1000 yards, .308, iron sights...that target which, I believe, is a 48” black circle looks like a BB at the end of your outstretched finger.

But, I also got to see a bullet in flight, so that was pretty cool.
 
I have been shooting a .270 & .300 Weatherby Mag for 20+years out to 400+ yards at game. I learned the old “Kentucky Windage” method on those old Leupolds of the 70’s/‘80’s and still do it to this day.
Never got into the Technical side of it.

recently got a 4x16 scope and thinking I want to change my ways and learn the proper technical side of long distance shooting

For some reason I think I saw you were from MN. Is that range in MN?
