Longer Threaded Barrels available for the XD-M series at the SA Store!

I haven't checked in a while, but I just noticed that SA accessory store is selling threaded barrels for the XD-M series as replacement for the standard length barrels.
They are match grade barrels come in 9mm, 10mm and .45ACP.

And best thing, unlike the few barrels available from the aftermarket, the SA accessory is in stock, much, much cheaper and finished just like the OEM barrels.

I just got the .45 ACP threaded barrel, it fits my XD-M .45ACP perfectly. I have not fired it yet.
Waiting for my 10 MM to arrive version to arrive, I purchased from a different source.
The ramp is polished very nicely, all fit and finish look better than OEM.

No my XD-M Elite OSP 10mm will look just like my 9mm version with the threaded barrel, and the same with my XD-M .45 ACP. The XD-M just missing the ambi slide release.

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered the Hellcat Pro threaded barrel a couple of days ago, still waiting for delivery. Wanted to add one for my XDm so I could easily swap suppressor back and forth. Ordered.

Thx again.

The 4.5" threaded barrel refers to it being designed to work with the slide for 4.5" barrels.
The barrel itself is actually longer of course to extend from the end of the slide.
My guess, it would not work. It may actually fir your 3.8" slide, despite it perhaps looking a little ridiculous with far too much extra barrel extended from it; BUT;
Notice the increased diameter at the end of the barrel, where it rides in the opening/bushing of the slide. So you put the barrel in a slide 3/4 of inch shorter, it won't be riding on that wider part of the barrel.
So, likely the barrel will not align right which would throw off accuracy. And possibly a strength/stress issue, that could crack a barrel/slide or increased wear.

That’s right. I know some brands of barrels are the same diameter from the muzzle back but after checking my 3.8 I see the area near the muzzle is slightly larger to facilitate a tight lock up.

If it would have worked it would have made my 3.8 legal for deer hunting in my state. (4” min). As accurate as it is with the dot on it I might take a shot at one within 10-15 yards of my blind if the opportunity presented itself.

You never know, if its worth the $160 to you to try it and have to abandon the idea.
Of course its possible it could damage the slide, but I wouldn't think that would be likely.
I'm more thinking that couple of hundreds of an inch difference could throw off the accuracy of the weapon. Perhaps the Red Dot could be adjusted for it.

Just got my 10mm threaded barrel for my XD-M Elite OSP.
@835mag the retrofit barrel accessory appears to have a longer stretch of the bulked out end to fit the slide, at least more than I have seen in other SA barrels.

Granted I'm going from appearance, I didn't actually mic O.D.s on the barrel, but its pretty clear where the bulked portion begins....
2-3/8" from the front upper barrel lock to the start of the barrel bulk up for the slide opening/bushing.

So, if you have 2-3/8" or more from the front upper edge of the ejection port to the rear of the slide opening/bushing for the barrel.

Just eyeballing it, and guessing the 3.8" slide is 3/4" shorter than the 4.5" slide, the bulk up of the barrel seems to go back 3/4" of an inch more than is needed for the 4.5" slide. So it might work.

Lets hear it for Melonite!
50 rounds through my new SA XD-M 10MM Threaded Barrel

Can anyone see one single wear mark?
Yea, yea, speak to you when I have a 1000 rounds through it. True, but this is the first barrel I have had that shot 50 rounds and didn't develop a single wear mark.

Oh, BTW, didn't have to change the zero on my RDS sight, shot like a champ.
