Great article. I never saw myself as a fan of hammer fired weapons and always leaned towards double stack striker fired Springfields. They always fit better having bigger then average hands. However after just holding and then purchasing my Springfield 1911 RO in 45ACP I was instantly taken with how the gun felt solid and very well balanced.
It sat great in my hand and was very stable when firing it. When the holster is broken in it will become one of my EDC guns.

Thanks for another great article. I am a 1911 fan and carry a compact when we are having jeans weather. They are my favorite gun to shoot for recreation.

When my wife and I go to a theater this will be a time I carry my EMP CCC or Compact .45 even in shorts. I also feel more comfortable with a longer more precise shot.
