I had a Mosin Nagant in my hands yesterday that I thought of getting. 7.62x54R is still readily available in my area for short money. There's some decent replacement stock options for them as well. ATI makes a stock with a removable 10 round mag. I'm thinking this could be a decent range beater for cheap.

I haven't made the jump to any obscure calibers, although it's a moot point now because even .32 acp ammo is now unavailable in my area. I did pick up a Heritage Rough Rider single-action revolver to try and slow down the effects that plinking is having on my stockpile of .22 LR. I'm hoping to take it out this weekend.

Not obscure, but in my area .308 has been plentiful in target to deer loads.

I haven't seen too much range grade .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor in my area on the shelves only the more expensive hunting or precision stuff.

It's typically been a little harder too find but not impossible.
