So, today I decided to pick up an M1A loaded, wood stock today at my local gun store.

Checked it out, did my paperwork and took her home.

It wasn’t until w got home that I noticed the first three numbers of the serial number are my badge number! 557!

Pretty stoked about that!

What scope are you going with? Any plans on shooting it with irons only? Real nice irons on the M1A.

I shoot M1 Garands all the time! I just did a preliminary adjustment on the rear sight. I’ve been shooting M1 Garands for over 45 years. I was recently out shooting my Enfield Jungle Carbine and No1 mark three. So I hear you brother.
 
So, I had taken her out of the stock and used some 147 grn pmc ammo to settle it down again. Then worked with the A-MAX 168 to finalize my 6x24 vortex diamondback zero. She loves the amax! It didn’t like the 147 pmc.

Next trip to 100 yards with the 168 grn A-MAX, now that I know what she likes!
