When I first got into shooting in the early 2000's I focused almost exclusively on handguns. Nowadays I want to kick myself for not grabbing some classic battle rifles when they were practically giving them away at gun stores. The only battle rifle in my collection is an old SKS that I recently cleaned up. The thing was dirty as could be, but is still highly accurate at distance and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a hunting trip. After my experience with the 60 year-old Chicom rifle, I'd love to see what some of the old American rifles could do.
