All,
I've recently been having an issue with my loaded NM M1A where it fails to feed the next round into the chamber or partially feeds it and damages the round. I've tried several different types of ammunition with this rifle. It seems to group best with Winchester white box M80 7.62x51 and I believe it was 149 grain. I realize the Winchester ammunition may not be the best but I did try several different brands with the same outcome. I cleaned the gas system using the gas system cleaning tools I purchased from Fulton Armory. I did not see anything wrong with the gas system at that time. I'm kind of stumped as to what could be wrong with it. I am new to the M1A as I have had it for several years but never really shot it at length until now. Also it is a loaded NM with walnut stock for reference. I also tried using different magazines with the rifle, which I purchased from Springfield Armory but to the same effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, please forgive my ignorance I am new to the M1A.
