M1A Mods: Making a Custom Rifle

Recently bought a new M1A Scout Squad. (wood) Cleaned it up and took it to the 100yd range. First shot out the tube hit a half inch bullseye with iron sights! I was shocked. It has about a four inch group as of now. I have never had a new gun zeroed from the get go before. Very happy with this freedom stick.

I love this but there are two must have mods he doesn't have. One, a Sadlak Extended Magazine Catch. Two, a Smith Enterprises Extended Bolt Stop/Release. Both make reloading faster and easier. Especially while wearing gloves. I have added both items to both of my M1As. One is a loaded standard I purchased shortly after 9/11 and a Scout Squad I purchased last year.
A third mod would be to add a Sadlack Sling Swivel Picatinny rail section. On a conventional stock to easily attach a bipod. I did that on the Scout Squad.
My rifles are for serious purposes. Only mods that enhance its usefulness are added. Note:my loaded standard rides in a Sage EBR chassis that has turned it into a tac driving machine. If using the proper ammunition and I do my part.
