Question about clamp on bipods. I have seen this on the internet: UTG® New Gen Reinforced Clamp-on Bipod, 8.7"-10.2”.

Are these any good and will they work on the M1A scout? Thanks with putting up with my possibility silly questions.

Perhaps a moderator can combine your two threads as they are about the same question. @10mmLife

That being said attaching anything to the barrel is a bad idea.

That’s what I have on my standard.

I was told this is pacifically made for synthetic M1A stock. Won’t have to take the rifle apart to install. Hope I was told correctly because I’m going to give it a try.
If the swivel on your stock is riveted on you’ll have to pull the barrel to drill out the rivets then bolt on the new pic rail swivel. This is on both wood and synthetic stocks.

These are the two screws that replaced the rivets in my stock, this is under the barrel so the barrel (action) needs to be removed.

Just a heads up, I'd recommend changing out those YFS screws as that brand is notorious for poor quality. YFS screws are a big no-no when found on certain AR parts as that can snap or strip or corrode way easier than a quality steel screw.

You'll typically find these in cheaply made chineseium BCG gas keys.

Get these versions from Fulton Armory.

or the Versa-pod version from the other thread.

Sorry about the repeat threads. Don't know how I keep doing that. I'm going to try out the the rail Fulton Armory suggested for the Synthetic stock. I just wanted to put it out there because most of the rails I found were for the wood stocks. I found it though your past input on this subject. I'm hoping this will be able to handle the
