M1A scout squad clamp on bipod?

Question about clamp on bipods. I have seen this on the internet: UTG® New Gen Reinforced Clamp-on Bipod, 8.7"-10.2”.

Are these any good and will they work on the M1A scout? Thanks with putting up with my possibility silly questions.

#1 - I would not attach any bipod on to the barrel. The real & fake military bipods (the ones mentioned in a recent article here) attach to the front part of the gas cylinder.

#2 - Most importantly I would not be caught dead having that attached to an M1A barrel as shown in the link.

Get one of these.
