My first day of wood shop my teacher did something he did for years, placed his finger on the band saw blade and turned it on. Mine was the class where his finger zigged when it should have zagged and he lost the first knuckle.
Much to the shocked delight of 20 7th graders. Such was my introduction to wood working lol.
