Curious as to what others are using for magazine identification during darkness to know what type of ammo they have loaded. I don't want to permanently mark the mag. Thinking maybe along the lines of a large rubber band or maybe a cut up bicycle tire tube.
 
Range mags are empty. Full mags are loaded with defense ammo. Keep all the mags for any specific weapon together. Memorize which ones are where.
 
Metal for 1 and poly for another could help in the darkness? Or ar10 and ar15 so mags are way different. I have lancer for 300bo and magpul for 556.
 
I have 2 different loads. I run fmj and green tip. In case I forget which mag is which I could identify by feel. I run soft point in 20 rd mags.
