Magtech ammo - bad?

I took my 10mm and my .357 to the range today. I bought some Magtech just to have an extra 50 of each. Sellier & Bellot, Federal, and Sig go tight around the bulls. Magtech groups up low with a wide spread. Do any other people have poor experiences with Magtech? Is it just a low grade product?

I use it all the time with no issues but some guns just don't like some ammo. My P365 loves everything including ancient surplus ammo but White Box is very inaccurate for some reason.

That goes double for defensive ammo. Your gun may not like the ammo you want it to like, so try a lot to see which defensive ammo it chews up and spits out in small groups where you want it to go. Then buy it and carry it. My XDm3.8 45 really likes Barnes 185gr +p solid copper HP. My Kimber 45 will not feed it well but it shoots fine when it feeds, BUT the Kimber loves Federal hydroshok 165gr HP and digest it 100% and makes small 10 shot groups over and over. So see a little homework is required. I do not trust the Barnes ammo in the Kimber when I'll need it most so why carry it in it. I trust it completely in the XDm.

Magtech is not my go-to brand, but I have frequently purchased it when the price was right. I've probably put about 500 rounds of 9mm and 250 rounds of 45 acp Magtech through my pistols without any issues. I don't have any experience with the 10 mm, but I have several pistols that for unknown reasons are just not as accurate with certain brands of ammo.

I have used Magtech ammo for years, in various calibers with no issues, but, like it’s been stated here, some guns just don’t like certain brands of ammo, it best to try several brands till you find the one your gun likes, but right now, with all that’s going on, that’s may be difficult to accomplish.

Both of my 10mms love Sig's ammo and do pretty well with Sellier & Bellot. They perform well with Federal even though its anemic. It surprised me to have Magtech be so wildly different.

I’ve found Magtech and S&B to be very dirty ammo, but have not had issues with it. Couple of my pistols dont like it and a couple of them do really well with it.

Never had any problems with Magtech brand, in my 9's, or my wife's 380EZ. S&B runs well in our rigs also. I got to thinking about my lackluster shooting at the range the other day, even though there's been a 3 month gap since last range time, and I was using Federal 115 grain FMJ (Champion as I recall. Would have to check a box label). In hind sight, I should have took some of the Fiocchi 124 grain FMJ I had on hand, but am trying to hang on to it.

Here's five rounds of Magtech I shot yesterday to check the zero on the DPP on my X5 Legion.
