I saw the news headline below this morning and thought Walter Cronkite probably rolled over in his grave. I have no respect for the American mainstream media and this headline simply justifies why (FoxNews no less). I mean, who cares??

I’m old. I remember when “the news” was 30 minutes in the evening (Cronkite on CBS or Huntley & Brinkley on NBC-we didn’t HAVE ABC). Now it’s 24 hours a day, there’s still the same amount of actual “news”, so they have to fill the remaining 23 1/2 hours with something, so they create “news”, hence all the BS that’s thrown out every single day.
 
I don't think intelligence is a requirement to graduate with a journalist degree.

As long as one can ready off a teleprompter one can get a passing grade, but even that is a struggle for some.

Most of my local news bobble heads can't pronounce common words and stumble over sentences.
 
One might ask, When did mainstream media ever have it? By that I mean once the big networks took over, were they ever dishing the truth or simply a predecided bunch of brain nonsense mixed with endless ads etc. There is reason they call tv content "programming". It's the viewers that are being programmed. If you want to improve your life - turn.it.all.off.
